The origins of the Company date back as far as 1896, when the first little artisan workshop was opened in an olive oil mill. Few shoes were produced but the objective was already clear: to satisfy customers with total commitment and attention to every detail. It was with these values that the business expanded and the first factory - called APICE – was opened.
The Company continued to grow up over the years, until it had 1.500 employees. It became a limited liability Company, RONTANI S.p.A. in 1971.
In 2008 the Company changed its name to NORA Italia S.r.l. and – together with its German subsidiary RONTANI GmbH – became part of SPIRALE Italia Group.
Today, after more than 100 years of steady and continual growth, the Company is recognized as a leading European manufacturer of Safety, Professional and Leisure waterproof boots.
The Company relies upon a 25.000 square meters Headquarter in Monsagrati, Lucca – Italy, where offices, production workrooms, warehouses, chemical laboratories are housed.
Every now and then the Company carries on its mission: to harmonize innovative and high performances materials with aesthetic quality and functional design, giving the people who are wearing them the chance to express their personality through safe, ergonomic and comfortable products.
